Digital Accessibility

Background

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that all content be accessible to all users. Ohio State requires that users of all abilities have equal access to information and programs. To achieve this goal, we conduct a digital accessibility review of software, applications, and site content to ensure that they work well with screen readers and other assistive technology (AT).

Duplicate H1 Error

This is unlikely to appear on your site due to the way we set up site templates. Each page should have only 1 <H1> heading; these are assigned by SLTS. If you get this error, notify SLTS and they will be able to assist.

Missing First Level Heading Error

This is also unlikely to appear on your site; SLTS controls first level headings. If you get this error, notify SLTS and they can assist.

No Heading Structure Alert

Again, this would be unlikely to appear, as SLTS ensures that each page has an <H1> heading. If you see this alert, notify SLTS.
